the Ministry of the Environment,
Standards Development Branch, to make a real difference in Brownfields
redevelopment in Ontario. You
will: coordinate the development of methodology and business processes
for implementation of the
streamlined risk assessment submission program (i.e. Tier 2 Brownfields
risk assessment); identify and
implement scientific and technical updates; review submissions to ensure
the process results in acceptable
outcomes; develop and conduct audit process; provide technical advice
on process and address issues
which lead to non-acceptance of submissions.
Qualifications: knowledge of theory/application of environmental sciences
or related disciplines (e.g.,
geosciences, hydrogeology), environmental fate/modelling, environmental
legislation/ministry
environmental control policies related to Brownfields redevelopment
and related guidance materials;
knowledge of/experience in Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments
and risk assessments to develop a
process for assessing submissions and recommend acceptance; project
management/coordination skills to
deliver a software-based process and coordinate submissions within expedited
timelines; excellent
analytical, problem-solving, oral communication, consultation, negotiation,
presentation skills to deliver
training/resolve disputed outcomes.
