EXPERIENCE: AWARENESS, TRAINING AND CAPACITY-BUILDING

A key component of the Brownfields Redevelopment and Site Remediation is the knowledge and experience gained through participation at AR's Knowledge & Training Workshops.

  • OCETA has promoted the principles of sustainability, brownfield redevelopment and site remediation through numerous outreach, awareness, training and capacity-building initiatives.

  • OCETA has delivered over twenty-five knowledge and training workshops in this sector across Ontario, Canada and Internationally.

  • OCETA delivers events in partnership with the funding partners.

  • OCETA coordinates its activities with clients, delivery partners, and funding agencies.

The Brownfields Redevelopment Toolbox for Ontario Municipalities (Web site March 2004, and included four workshops across Ontario during the fall of 2004 and winter 2005.

The fabulous feedback and reception of these initial four workshops led OCETA to continue it's outreach and education efforts through additional AR workshops, conferences and seminars. Additional brownfield workshops were held with MAH and MOE in 2006 and 2007.
