Oakville, ON, August 13, 2008 – XCG Consultants Ltd. (XCG) has reached an agreement to acquire a property Electrohome Limited has owned for nearly 100 years on Victoria Street North in Kitchener, Ontario. Electrohome was founded in Kitchener in 1907. The original plant was built the same year it was founded, with numerous expansions added over the years. The property, approximately 0.8 hectares, has been vacant since 1994. The land is being purchased with a commitment by XCG to clean it up for future redevelopment.

This is the first of many Brownfield projects XCG hopes to complete through acquisition and teaming with remediation contractors and developers also committed to the redevelopment of Brownfield properties and urban intensification throughout Canada.
