Company: XCG Consultants Ltd.
XCG has implemented a passive in-situ bioremediation
program to enhance groundwater remediation. The bioremediation
program uses devices that release dissolved oxygen to
the groundwater (such as Waterloo Emitters ). The oxygen
is used by naturally-occurring aerobic bacteria that degrade
the petroleum hydrocarbons. The devices are installed
in existing monitoring well locations in the core of the
plume. .
